“Life presents a range of challenges and opportunities which impact on our everyday life and its experiences. My sculptures are informed by these situations where the puzzles of life are ever present.
Being essentially an optimist my struggle with these challenges often adopts a playful even whimsical approach to the subject. The forms are simple and often stylised.
Philippa’s work engages with the figure resulting in distinctive works in timber and bronze.
