ELLIOTT, Kim C.

Specialising in figurative sculpture, commission portraiture and children.

Based in Sydney, I started sculpting whilst living overseas, studying at the Brentwood Art School, in Los Angeles, USA.  Continuing my studies back in Australia at the Royal Art Society, Sydney, The Sydney Sculpture School, NSW.   Exhibiting member with, The Sculptors Society, Sydney, Royal Art Society of NSW, Mosman Art Society.  Currently teaching figurative Sculpture at The Sydney Sculpture School, Gladesville, NSW.  

I have enjoyed sculpting for the past 15 years, and still find capturing the beauty of figurative sculpture, inspiring and exhilarating.   Scrutinizing proportions, gesture, and movement is my driving force when sculpting.  Drawn to a more traditional style, the majority of work are cast in Bronze, with wood and glass also playing a part.  I aspire to create a sense of weight, movement and beauty in my sculptures… it still remains very motivating and challenging.
