After a degree in French and History of Art, Julian Ellis had a series of careers in wildlife cinematography, teaching and then counselling, all of which inform the sculptures he makes. He loves modelling animals and people, celebrating warmth, passion and beauty. He also makes abstract forms in steel that reveal the effects of time and the environment on the surface.
