Her professional life is shared between the architectural and art world, working as an Architect and creating mosaics at her home studio.
Her work and inspiration are driven by natural forms and materials found in nature, telling the story of the places she loves, lives, and visits: the stones from her hometown Ohrid or Kokino megalithic observatory in Macedonia, Sydney’s seashells, broken tiles from her travels, rusted metal or wire from construction site visits, quartz stones from old Australian gold mines…
Her works have been exhibited and are in private collections in Australia, Europe, and the USA. She has been a finalist in events such as the Opere Dal Mondo – Ravenna Mosaico Biennale, CMA Exhibition in Ashland, Oregon (USA), MUSIWA Florence (Italy), Mozaik Malog Formata in Belgrade (Serbia). Biljana has also participated in The Sculptors Society exhibitions in Sydney, MAANZ exhibitions in Australia and the latest group international exhibition – “The Sound of the Landscape” in Ohrid, Macedonia, 2025.
Biljana’s work speaks to the viewer through her unique mixture of materials and colours, which, combined with the interplay of light, create a continual state of transformation across its surfaces.
