Jane Dawson


Jane Dawson works in bronze, stainless steel and polyurethane. Her studios are in Alexandria in Sydney. She attended John Olsen's Bakery Art School, The Sculpture School at the Rocks, Tom Bass' Sculpture Studio and the Julian Ashton Art School. Jane's purpose is to create from the familiar another image which has an integrity of its own - engaging and challenging the viewer and making them part of the adventure and the journey. Her work is based on the principle in physics of Moments About a Point, balance in all things.

Jane’s sculpture is held in private collections in Australia, New Zealand, America, France, England, Scotland, Ireland, Hong Kong, Jordan and Canada.

Sculpture commissions include Trelawney Stud in New Zealand, Clayton Utz, St. Bede’s Church Pyrmont, Waterville Golf Club Ireland, and for the Australian Wildlife Conservancy for Sir David Attenborough for his 90th Birthday and for many private collections. Jane’s sculpture was included in Sculpture by the Sea Inside in 2016.
